Dear Students and Alumni,
It’s an exciting time to be at Waldorf! The leaves may be falling off the trees and the year is slowly winding down, but the excitement at Waldorf College is just building.
For the first time as a four-year institution, Waldorf has more than 670 students on campus and more than 2000 more students taking online courses across the nation and across the world.
We are so excited to see the changes that these new students bring and the way that they shape Waldorf College.
As I write to you, we are gearing up for our 2015 Homecoming celebration. This is a special year as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of our alma mater, “All Hail to Thee, O Waldorf.” Every year, we invite all students and alumni to join us in Forest City for the festivities. I love welcoming students who have never been to campus and watching them partake in homecoming activities. We make sure to accomodate to our online students by streaming many of the events online as well as sharing photos from the event on social media.
Homecoming is an action-packed weekend. We kicked things off with the Athletic Hall of Fame induction banquet and the fun continued all weekend with the Waldorf parade, an arts and craft fair, home football game, Taste of Waldorf dinner, a musical concert and concludes with a theatre showcase on Sunday.
Even though our Waldorf College students are across the country and across the world, we hope you are still filled with the same sense of Waldorf pride by celebrating our 100th anniversary of the Alma Mater.
Bob Alsop, Ph.D.
