Wes Riddle has joined Waldorf College as the Associate Dean and Director of Online Learning. Working with the VPAA and the Waldorf Online staff, Riddle will be responsible for administering the online programs offered by Waldorf, including administrative responsibility for the online side of departments with programs available via both online and on campus. While his primary responsibilities lie with the distance education online courses, he will also be providing ideas and perspectives for enhancing the online components of residential courses.
Riddle started his academic career as an advisor for multiple student organizations while finishing a Master’s Degree at the University of Georgia. He taught at Kennesaw State University (KSU) from 2005 until 2011. Concurrent with his civilian career, Riddle also serves as a Military Intelligence officer in the Army National Guard, serving in multiple roles with a wide range of responsibilities. In 2011, he deployed to Afghanistan with U.S. Special Operations Command in 2012. Upon his return, he joined Columbia Southern Education Group and has continued to teach as an online adjunct with KSU’s Leadership Studies Program.
Riddle holds a Master of Education in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia, a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of South Carolina Aiken, a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Ethics from Kennesaw State University, and is currently working on a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Prior to deploying to Afghanistan, he was enrolled in a PhD program in International Relations at the University of Georgia, where his research focus was on international organizations, conflict, and the laws of warfare.
