Dear Alumni and Friends,
“Vocation is the place where our deep gladness meets the world’s deep need.” – Frederick Buechner
This quote immediately came to mind when Chantell Cooley, Waldorf College Trustee, asked me how she could help Waldorf College. Chantell has a passion for education as a transformative agent for good in both individuals and society as a whole. She also has a passion for mentoring young women. She has authored books and given presentations encouraging others to grow in their faith and follow their dreams. What came out of our conversation was an idea of a scholarship aimed at young women to make college education more affordable and mentoring relationships more available to them.
The Chantell Cooley Leadership Scholarship for Women provides scholarships, up to full-tuition, for incoming female students who participate in one of several co-curricular activities, including campus ministry, service learning/rotaract, entrepreneurship, honors, STEM-biology, historia, digital media, and creative writing. If you know of someone who is interested in attending Waldorf College and could benefit from this wonderful scholarship opportunity, please direct them to the scholarship webpage: www.Waldorf.edu/Cooley. At the webpage, they can learn more about the scholarship and fill out an online application.
