The Story of Why You Teach

Why do you teach? As educators, we love hearing the stories behind the teacher. Whether you teach kindergarten or college philosophy, have just begun your teaching career or are a seasoned veteran, we want to know what fuels your passion for teaching. We love hearing what inspires you, has built your journey and what keeps you coming back to the classroom every day.

This is why Waldorf University wants to give an educator $1000 for his or her classroom through the Why I Teach campaign. To enter, simply share with us the story of why you teach in 500 or fewer words. Our favorite stories will be posted on the Waldorf Facebook page. The submission with the most likes and shares will win $1000 for their classroom.

Stories must be submitted by July 20 and can be sent to or through a private message on our Facebook page. Along with your 500 word story, you may also include one photo or video.

At Waldorf University, we love hearing stories that inspire us to be Warriors. Share your #WaldorfWhyITeach story for a chance to win $1000 for your classroom.
